The SLR McLaren was, of course, already a tough little car, but the new “722 Edition” is only really a speed demon. Faster, more precise and stronger.
Thanks to the 5.5 liter V8 engine of AMG is the Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 Edition to maximize performance. With 650 hp sprint the sports car from zero to hundred in only 3.6 seconds, after 10,2 seconds, the counter is 200 km/h and the top is located three miles per hour higher than the ‘standard’ 334 km/h.
The name ‘722’ refers to the number of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with which Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson’s 1955 Mille Miglia win. Just as the performance is also handling racewaardig. Stiffer damping, lowered body and larger brake discs make for particularly sporty driving characteristics.
