Also the smallest engine of the Volkswagen Touareg is from now on equipped as standard with a diesel particle filter. After the six – and tiencilinder is now the turn of the 2.5-litre five cylinder TDI.
The 174 horsepower, five cylinder is very popular in the Volkswagen Touareg. In addition to a high capacity, this TDI is also a strong torque of 400 Nm. As long as the standard six-speed manual and optimum use, the Touareg, in 12,4 seconds, acceleration to 100 km/h. Definitely not bad for such a heavyweight. There is, however, a consumption of 10.3 liters per hundred kilometers across.
With the advent of the standard particle filter you need, however, something less to worry about the possible harmful impact of the car on the environment. The DRF (such as Volkswagen dpf calls it) not only reduces the emissions of soot particles, but also of the dust.
