Xiaomi-devices distinguish themselves for years with a sharp price/quality ratio. The Mi 8 Pro does that too, by the features and specifications to offer that you find on much more expensive smartphones. So the device has a finger print scanner under the display and multiple sensors – if you want a 3D scan of your face. You can then select your phone protect your face, just like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and iPhone XS.

The Mi 8 Pro is also known as the Mi 8 Explorer Edition and is equipped with a 6,21 inch display with full-hd resolution. The screen looks therefore sharp but not as sharp as the qhd screens of more expensive devices. The Xiaomi smartphone uses an oled panel, a high contrast and is more energy-efficient than an lcd display.

Under the hood is the super-fast Snapdragon 845 processor loaded with 6GB or 8GB ram. The storage space measures 128GB is not expandable with a micro-sd card. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also absent. Wired music listening is going through the usb-c port or via a usb-c-to-3.5 mm adapter that Xiaomi includes.

Relatively small battery

Cheaper Xiaomi-smartphones generally have large batteries, giving them two days to call. For unclear reasons, the Mi 8 Pro equipped with a 3000 mAh battery, which for this type of device on the small side. The big full-hd screen and the powerful hardware consume a lot of power. It is likely that the Mi 8 Pro a day it will last, but we expect to get the battery at night to charge.

That charge is going to happy very quickly with a usb-c cable and Quick Charge 4.0 support. The battery is therefore in a no time. Wireless charging is not possible.
