The Pie-update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T is a special story. The smartphones were in July 2016 introduced with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. OnePlus gave the devices – as promised – two Android updates to Android 7.0 (Nougat) and 8.0 (Oreo). That seemed to be the terminus for the 3(T). In July 2018, when Android 9.0 (Pie) almost came out, let OnePlus know that the software update to the OnePlus 3 and 3T would come. OnePlus 3(T) receives Android Pie update
The software update improves the OnePlus 3(T) of Android 8.0 (Oreo) to version 9.0 (Pie). This means you get all sorts of improvements, including rich notifications and other settings screen. The OnePlus 3 and 3T with Android Pie their third and last update received. The devices are not updated to Android 10.0 (Q), that in the autumn.
